Rotary Wing Engine and Body Trainer/Mentor
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Rotary Wing Engine and Body Trainer/Mentor in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The Rotary Wing Engine and Body Trainer/Mentor will serve as a formal classroom and/or on the job training mentor. The Rotary Wing Engine and Body Trainer/Mentor will be responsible for ensuring every AAF and SMW mentee has an accurate training record. Will ensure that each mentee is taught/mentored in accordance with the prescribed Mater Training List and/or additional training list so as the mentee may successfully attain the required level 3/2/1 as per the relevant Afghan manning Documents. Will document all training /mentoring as prescribed by applicable training/mentoring department forms and processes.
The Rotary Wing Engine and Body Trainer/Mentor may be called upon to develop training/mentoring materials; and manage delivery of internal and externally-provided training. May also administer tests or knowledge assessments to ensure understanding of training content and application of knowledge, provide train-the-trainer programs and qualify trainers for content delivery.
Must have a current Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P). Must be able to perform the full range of airframe and engine maintenance , repair, modifications, inspections and service of aircraft in accordance with approved methods, techniques and certify accomplished work in accordance with applicable civil and military doctrine and standards. MUST posses a full understanding of US DoD Military Aviation maintenance operations
Education: High school diploma or GED. Four years of direct experience in aircraft maintenance, or quality control. Civilian or military technical school degree/certification.
NACI or Interim NACI is required
Program Specific Requirement: As the position location is in Afghanistan, the following requirements need to be met:
Active US passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration prior to start date.
Visa with multiple entries for 12 months prior to start date
Completion of Customer required International Readiness Certifications prior to deployment.
Failure to complete any of these actions within 60 days of accept will result in rescinding of the offer. If the candidate is unable to pass the medical screening after the start date and prior to deployment an immediate administrative termination will be requested.
