Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a full time professional junior to mid software tester to join our team. Our software application works closely with the IC community providing high quality translation services and support.

Leverage knowledge and experience in software testing to support end-to-end delivery of the TONS application, a complex web application which consists of custom code, COTS product integration and web service functionality used to facilitate the customer process of document translation identification, development and implementation of enterprise business processes to better leverage advances in translation services using a native workflow program.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

-As part of the AGILE development process, perform daily testing responsibilities to complete technical testing tasks.

-Responsible for developing and coordinating operationally relevant test strategies and reviews on a release basis or as needed.

-Works directly with software developers, program management and operational user community to identify functional, usability and performance deficiencies and to provide recommendations for improvements.

-Ensure program management is continuously informed and up to date on the state of testing for the TONS program, including any known risks or pending milestones.

-Perform testing of the technical issues (development / production environments) to ensure that the release contains all elements as agreed upon by the customer.

- Conduct end-to-end system evaluations.  Activities include technical document development and review, hardware/software configuration management and control, test execution, and deficiency reporting and analysis.

-Perform testing activities to ensure that the TONS application functions optimally and with minimum outage time.

-Provide support of customer needs and questions on a daily basis, both via phone support as well as in person at the customer site.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

-Requires a BS Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

-Demonstrate knowledge of software testing concepts, tools, and experience.

-Knowledge of software and systems engineering processes for software development life cycle.

-Ability to facilitate and communicate to multiple audience levels in both oral and written formats.

-Knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMSs) setup and usage.

-Demonstrate experience working in a matrix or team based organizational structure.

-Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

-Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Windows 7/10.
