Leidos is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (TUAS) team, which will support the Shadow RQ-7B Aircraft. 

The Shadow TUAS Program is mature and in the Sustainment phase of its lifecycle. As such, most engineering activities will be focused on sustainment engineering and developing aircraft modifications that improve performance, reliability and operability.  Our team, and ultimately our US Army customer, will rely on your skills to deliver the best capability to our warfighters.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work under general guidance from the Chief Engineer to lead all electrical development aspects of modifications to the aircraft and its support systems.  Upon development, you will work with the customer to obtain concurrence on the documentation.  Modifications may range from incorporation of an upgraded payload onto the airframe to fuel system improvement modifications.  Your job will be to lead other electrical engineers in the design, development and analysis using applicable military specifications as well as industry, internal and customer procedures.  You will work as part of a design IPT to develop production level drawings and provide substantiation analyses (ELA, EMI/EMC reports, etc). Upon design completion, you will be expected to provide Liaison support of the actual installation/integration.

BS degree from an accredited engineering school and ten years related engineering experience, or MS degree from an accredited engineering school and eight years related engineering experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited school of Engineering and five years related engineering experience.

Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) 
Demonstrate previous success working in a team based environment to meet objectives.
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
Experience developing Electrical Loads Analyses (ELA), EMI/EMC reports
Experience using 3d CAD system (Catia, etc).
Experience with AR 70-62 Airworthiness certification process with US Army Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED)
Experience leading design teams
Ability to understand software architectures as the basis for electrical design"

Desired Qualifications:
Experience presenting technical analyses during design reviews
Experience working in IPT structured Design teams
Control Account Management (CAM) Experience
Experience in US Army based Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Government Report or Thesis writing. 
Masters degree preferred.
Ability to develop Basis Of Estimates (BOEs) for new opportunitiese
