Description:
Leidos is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (TUAS) team, which will support the Shadow RQ-7B Aircraft.  

The Shadow TUAS Program is mature and in the Sustainment phase of its lifecycle. As such, most engineering activities will be focused on sustainment engineering and developing aircraft modifications that improve performance, reliability and operability.  Our team, and ultimately our US Army customer, will rely on your skills to deliver the best capability to our warfighters.

The Senior Test Engineer will work under general guidance from the Chief Engineer to lead all Test Engineering aspects of the contract.  This will include your leadership of the Test Engineering IPTs and participation as our representative at customer IPTs with Test Engineering based charters in modifying aircraft and support systems.  Modifications may range from incorporation of an upgraded payload onto the airframe to fuel system improvement modifications.  Your job will be to lead other Test Engineers and ensuring test functions are being satisfied across the contract.  You will participate in other IPTs to ensure all test engineering tasks are being executed to expectations.  

Qualifications:
BS degree from an accredited engineering school and five years minimum related engineering experience, or MS degree from an accredited engineering school and three years minimum of related engineering experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school and three years related engineering experience.

Test Engineering experience on Sustainment programs focused on post production support, including improvements to relaibility, sustainability, and maintainability.

Demonstrated knowledge of Test Engineering practices used in system validation and verification
Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) 
Demonstrate previous success working in a team based environment to meet objectives.
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
Experience with AR 70-62 Airworthiness certification process with US Army Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED)
Experience leading IPTs and smaller task teams"

Desired Qualifications:
Experience presenting Test Engineering related material during technical reviews
Experience working in IPT structured teams
Control Account Management (CAM) Experience
Experience in US Army based Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Government Report or Thesis writing. 
Masters degree preferred.
Ability to develop Basis Of Estimates (BOEs) for new opportunities"
