JOB DESCRIPTION: The Technical Project Lead (TPL) is responsible for interfacing with the user(s) and sponsor(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine project requirements. The TPL is responsible for generating the highest level of system requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule. Interfacing with the design and implementation engineers, architects, DBAs and programmers so that problems arising during design, implementation or operations can be resolved in accordance with the fundamental design concepts, and user needs. The position also requires the ability to generate acceptance test requirements, in collaboration with the designers, test engineers, and the user, to determine that all of the high level requirements have been met, especially for the computer-human-interface. Provide software engineering support to enhance/ redesign logistics enterprise IT systems. Work to incorporate enhancement requests into planned software releases for by providing system design requirements, reviewing all system documentation. Work directly with client representatives and other organizations to continually improve/enhance processes related to the enterprise system. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of the enterprise system architecture and database structures to help analyze.
: TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Typical Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering orScience with a major in or a related scientific or technical discipline is desired. Or in lieu of a degree a candidate must have 10 Year relevant experience and working knowledge USMC ‘Life Cycle Modeling (LCMI)’. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with customers and senior managers. Candidate must have strong data warehousing skills, ETL, Oracle, and enterprise architecture skills. General experience as a subject matter expert in logistics, supply chain, or material management with strong organization, facilitation, time management, and communication skills is necessary. Must have solid understanding of the USMC Logistics systems and data.
Knowledge of some or all of the following is required:
1. LOGCOMs Master Data repository (MDR)
2. LCMI Tool kits including the following;
a. Total Life Cycle Management-Operational Support Tool (TLCM-OST),
b. Asset Enterprise Management Information Tool (AEMIT),
c. Master Scheduling Support Tool (MSST),
d. Secondary Reparable Total Allowance Recomputation Tool (START),
e. Marine Corps Equipment Readiness Information Tool (MERIT),
f. Supply Chain Operation Performance Enabler (SCOPE),
g. System Operational Effectiveness (SOE), and
h. Total Support Cost (TSC).
USMC or US military experience preferred.
