Information Assurance / Security Specialist (Job Number:602277)

Leidos is seeking an Information Assurance / Security Specialist to support an upcoming program in Bridgeport, WV. This position will support FBI CJIS Division’s COMPS contract. COMPS replaces the current SoS Support Services (SoSSS) contract. The Information Assurance / Security Specialist (Journeyman) shall possess knowledge and experience in installing, operating and maintaining security appliances, and shall possess experience in making advanced recommendations for configuring the security posture of operational systems. The IASS (Journeyman) shall possess knowledge of tracking and analyzing the security posture of the assigned systems. The Information Assurance/Security Specialist designs, develops or recommends integrated security system and physical control solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. Provides technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions to manage information-related risks. Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Configures and validates secure systems and physical controls, and tests security products and systems to detect security weakness. -Determines enterprise information assurance and security standards; -Develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures; -Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for an organization. Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements; -Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations; -Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands; -Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies; -Applies know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures; -Performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures; -Analyzes and defines security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers; -Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet security requirements; -Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution; -Analyzes general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems; -Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle; -Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a computer related discipline and 4 to 7 years of experience in installing software products to be used for securing systems. Knowledge of installing, operating and maintaining security appliances (i.e., Bluecoat devices, Ironport devices, firewalls, IDS/IPS).

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - FBI CJIS Division experience; - Certifications in security products and applications and other security related COTS products are desired but not required.
