JOB DESCRIPTION: JOB DESCRIPTION: The Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) is the depot-level repair activity for US Navy surface ship and submarine towed sonar arrays. It is a Government Owned-Contractor Operated (GOCO) facility located at the Navy Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, and Naval Station Newport, in Newport RI. Along with the depot the Government provides a warehouse/staging facility for material packaging, shipping, receipt, inspection, and storage. The successful candidate will be the Contractor Logistics Analyst for the NATSC towed array depot. As such they will: 1. Regularly communication with towed systems community organizations (email, telephone, etc.) to maintain a complete and up-to-date understanding of towed array operational requirements for which there are limited assets available. 2. Analyze fleet requirements lacking assets against repairable items on-hand and production line capacity and provide recommendations to NATSC government and contractor management for the prioritization of repair pipeline work to satisfy those requirements. 3. Monitor repair line output to verify that assets are on track for delivery. If there are issues precluding an asset from being available as planned, analyze the production schedule and provide recommendation(s) for a recovery plan.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, OR equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Master s degree. 
Must be able to obtain and retain a US DOD security clearance at the SECRET level. 
Prior experience using computer/network-based inventory management and job tracking systems. 
Desired Skills:
Prior US Navy/DOD logistics operations experience. 
Familiarity with the various organizations comprising the Towed Systems community and their interrelationships. 
Familiarity with Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Naval Station Newport, and Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) processes and procedures related to security and logistics oriented matters. 
Familiar with the handling, storage, and shipment requirements for towed sonar arrays/modules. 
Prior experience using NDA (NATSC Depot Application), TAMS (Towed Asset Management System), and MasterControl (Process/Document Management System). Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
