Leidos is actively interviewing for a Future Operations Planner Senior Analyst to join our team in Tampa, Florida.

Support MARCENT through analysis of COMUSMARCENT equities in planning operations and corresponding force structure in a dynamic, volatile AOR. Facilitates transition of deliberate and crisis/contingency planning into executable orders. The contractor possesses a thorough understanding of the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and application of the process in the Joint arena. Participate in the MARCENT Crisis Action Planning Team. The contractor will have experience in leading Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and be able to articulate USMC organizational capabilities and limitations in CENTCOM planning efforts and other operations planning as required. Coordinate with MARCENT Plans Section for transition and development of future operations. The contractor shall independently review USCENTCOM and MARCENT plans, orders, and initiatives, and provide input to the MARCENT Operations Officer. Produce FRAGOs, WARNOs, and branch plans as necessary in conjunction with Current Operations and Plans. Provide a thorough understanding of the Joint Staff Global Force Management process and how the Marine Corps Service Component fits into it. Unclassified and classified reports and briefs shall be prepared and submitted as appropriate for G3 support.

* Provide Subject Matter Expert advice to the G-3 Future Operations Officer, Deputy AC/S G-3, and G-3 on component level operational planning.
* Develop, review and refine plans (OPLANS and CONPLANS), briefs, orders, and make recommendations on Service/Joint policies and doctrine.
* Lead or support an Operational Planning Team (OPT) in developing service initiatives
* Represent Service Component, as lead or in support of planning conferences and working groups with HQMC, MARFORs, and the Operating Forces (OPFOR).
* Coordinate transition of planning from the MARCENT G5 to the MARCENT G3.
* Coordinate strategic and operational planning with CENTCOM, USFOR-A, CJTF-OIR, HQMC, 5th MEB, MARFORs and the OPFOR.
* Serve as the G3 Future Plans point of contact for planning with CENTCOM, USFOR-A, CJTF-OIR, SOCCENT, HQMC, 5th MEB, MARFORs and the OPFOR.
* Complete duties as tasked by the G-3 Future Operations Officer.

* Ability to manipulate all Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Excel to develop Executive Level briefs, information papers and correspondence.
* JPME II graduate and/or Joint Qualified Officer with thorough understanding of joint service force structure and service capabilities.
* Command and Staff College graduate.
* Successful three year tour on a Service Component Staff.
* 10 years of experience on a general staff at the Action Officer or Staff Principal level.
* Must be able to apply mature judgment, have a high degree of initiative, and persistence.  
* Demonstrated skill in preparing operational concepts, decision papers, position papers, recommendations, reports, assessments, briefings and similar material in order to clearly, concisely, and accurately communicate technical and non-technical information in verbal and written formats to Staff Principles and General Officers.
* Experience in synchronizing staff actions across staff sections.
* Understanding of Marine Corps Planning Process.
* 4 yr College degree.
*       Active TS/SCI clearance
* 0505 School of Advanced Warfighting or School of Advanced Military Studies graduate.
* 15 years of military experience.
* Ability to travel independently, living and working in austere deployed locations.
* Thorough knowledge of CENTCOM AOR.
* Must be able to exercise originality, sound judgment and persistence in developing new approaches, concepts and methods in areas where few historical precedents are available to provide guidance.
* Possession of a high level of competence in both oral and written communications.
* Ability to forecast long range impacts of immediate actions.
* Ability to respond to crises and serve on Crises Action Team for extended work hours.
