Description:
The Defense & Intelligence Group has a current opening for a Courier/Registry Support Officer assignment in the Northern Virginia area supporting the U.S. Government. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph with 1 year of similar experience. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for driving vehicles to pick-up and deliver documents, parcels and mail to various business or government agencies, to include the local delivery area. 
The candidate will be the primary driver and who will be responsible for complying with the Leidos use of Fleet Government-Owned or Leased Vehicles Standard processes. 
Delivery of time critical packages to end-user within established time frames, and obtain a chain of custody
Transport office personnel and visitors as required
Perform miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail to and from post office, sorting/processing or opening incoming/outgoing mail
Obtain receipts for documents delivered and keep a log of items received and delivered
Deliver items to designated offices
Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspection of vehicle used


Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
High School diploma 
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Minimum 1 year of similar experience
Valid Driver’s license
Ability to lift and carry boxes and packages up to 50 lbs.; walk, stair climb, bend and stoop. 
Basic computer skills to access information to distribute mail
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
Previous experience/knowledge of a mailroom environment
Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel) and the Internet
Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customer
Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose and deliver responses to customers’ questions in a clear and concise manner, report the status of assigned tasks and projects
Ability to manage own activities and office workflow under tight deadlines
Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities that may require overtime or extended hours
