TUAS NET Trainer -- Telework
Leidos is seeking Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (TUAS)/New Equipment Training (NET) Trainers/Instructors for the RQ-7B2 contract/program.
Will be developing and presenting formal training courses and materials. Conduct training task analysis. Assure that uniform and efficient training and publications processes are applied on assigned programs.
Evaluate training methods and recommend changes/improvements to ensure efficient and effective qualification of students. Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for operator related issues. Provide technical and operational expertise for training device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization. Interface with hardware, software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support product improvement.
Serve as classroom, simulator, and/or field trainer/instructor to provide initial qualification, refresher, sustainment, and remedial training. Document and track student progress.
Assist with preparation of technical, cost, and schedule estimates and proposals.
Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for operator related issues. Primary duties will require extensive domestic travel, and may include international travel for training exercises.
Must possess or be able to acquire a secret security clearance.
Prepare plans for accomplishing training and documentation tasks.
Coordinate editing, production, and delivery of materials. Coordinate quality control activities to assure the accuracy and adequacy of each training product including in-process/final review, editing for compliance with all applicable specifications and standards, validation and change verification.
Participate in site surveys and review conferences with customers.
Practice ISO 9001 and Total Quality principles and concepts.
High School Diploma or Equivalent, and 4 Years Shadow experience.
UAS operator on the Shadow 200(RQ-7B) experience.
Prior qualification as an Instructor Operator through the Army Instructor Operator course or DES/Equivalent.
250 flight hours minimum, with at least 200 hours as Aircraft Operator position
Must be able to safely and effectively perform the duties of an AO/PO instructor without supervision, including flight, ground equipment operator setup/maintenance and logs and records. Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, and other aspects of flight
Basic computer skills are required. Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing, and possess strong leadership skills. Strong organizational skills are necessary.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
Licenses / Certifications:
Shadow 200 (RQ-7BV2) qualified, and ABIC (Army Basic Instructor Course) completed.
Must possess IO qualification/certification to perform the duties of a UAS AO/PO instructor. FAA licenses or certificates such as private pilot, commercial pilot, instrument rating, CFI, CFI-I are highly desirable.
