Description:

Join our winning team!  Leidos is building a team to support the G2 Army MI Enterprise (DA GAME) which will provide IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. 

 

This System Architect position supports the JMICS/C-JWICS systems at the Service Center, Fort Bragg, NC.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the JMICS’s overall systems.

  • Defines system solutions based on user/customer needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.

  • Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery.

  • Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies. The position requires staying on top of new technologies for the JMICS system architecture.

  • Works in conjunction with System Engineer and Cyber Security manager on issues requiring knowledge in the area of specialization.

  • Conducts acceptance tests to verify if a system is in accordance with fundamental user requirements. Modify new or already existing system structure to improve efficiency as well as meet customer needs.

  • Maintains accurate records of design operations and steps taken during the structuring of a system.

  • Updates Site Lead and System Engineer on the progress of a design.

  • Conducts research to determine the effectiveness of off-the-shelf products in building a new system offer recommendations to customers on ways to ensure an efficient information technology structure.

  • Maintains architectural products and systems to ensure they remain efficient.


Qualifications:

What qualifications you'll need to have:

  • 7+ years of relevant technical experience. 
  • Applicable operating systems certifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • CISSP OR CASP

  • DoD 8750 IA Certification at IAT III: CompTIA Security+ Continuing Education (CE)

  • DoD 8750 Computer Environment (CE) Certification: CompTIA Server

  • MCSE or MCITP, and ESXi Experience

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree and 2+ years of experience

  • Cisco Unified Communications

  • Experience maintaining Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003, Server 2008, and Server R2 platforms

  • VTC operation and maintenance experience

  • Other preferred experience includes: Satellite, RHEL, Scripting, VMware View, Powershell, STIG item remediation, Vulnerability Scanning, Windows image creation and maintenance, Backup and restoration of virtual and physical machines, Group Policy creation, DNS server experience, Active Directory, and Tier III support.
