Senior Program/Project Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:Leidos is seeking an Intermediate Computer Systems Engineer for our Integration & Logistics Center in Chesapeake, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding in support of CDSA Dam Neck for the Integrated Training Systems; including Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT).
Candidate will organize and monitor science and technology research and engineering activities supporting integrated training systems programs, projects, and/or activities, including applying systems engineering technical and technical management processes during systems development, science and technology research, and engineering activities. Additionally, the candidate will oversee engineering activities in multiple functional specialties, including design, development, fabrication, installation, modification, sustainment, and/or analysis of systems or systems components.
Additionally, the candidate will:
-Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analysis, and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
-Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.
-Work within a team of engineers to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree and five+ years of full-time experience in systems engineering, including systems engineering for USN shipboard combat systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Generally has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
