Leidos is seeking a Mid-to-Senior level biologist for a position in Northern Virginia. This position requires an active TS/SCI to start, and candidate will be required to submit for polygraph. Candidate will be part of a diverse team of scientists and engineers assessing WMD threats in support of a government customer. Our ideal candidate should be a Subject Matter Expert in biology, with experience working in the Defense and/or Intelligence Communities.
The successful candidate will work with both government and contractor personnel in multidisciplinary teams, and will provide technical support to teams conducting facility characterization, modeling and simulation, and operational planners. Candidate will prepare draft and final documents as needed, including presentations, technical reports, briefings and memos. Candidate should be able to communicate with lay personnel (including military and government leadership), as well as at a professional level with peers in the community.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
- Master’s degree in Biology or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communications skills.
- Security clearance based on a valid Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within past 5 years.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biological manufacturing environment
- Experience using Defense or Intelligence Community tools and methodologies, such as Alternative Competing Hypotheses, for problem solving
