Senior Systems Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer for our Integration & Logistics Center in Chesapeake, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding in support of CDSA Dam Neck for the Integrated Training Systems; including Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT).
Candidate will ensure appropriate systems engineering technical and technical management processes are properly applied to functional specialty activities that support IPT environments. Lead technical oversight of engineering activities in a functional specialty relating to the design, development, fabrication, installation, modification, sustainment, and/or analysis of systems or systems components. Additionally, lead design and development activities for system or system components.
Additionally, the candidate will:
- Lead technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses, and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
- Evaluate alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
- Lead systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.Coach and review the work of lower level system engineers.
