Job Summary
An experienced Linux System Administrator/Engineer is needed provide administration and operational support to our customer in Annapolis Junction. The candidate will need a proactive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to integrate into an existing technical team comprised of contractors and government customers. To be successful in this role the candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency with Linux.

Primary Responsibilities 
Provide system administration/engineering for RedHat/CentOS 5, 6, 7 to include user account administration, installation and configuration of workstations and peripherals, kernel parameter and disk partition modification, client-server support, software and hardware upgrades, troubleshooting, and shell script programming.
Automate system tasks using Bash, Python, Perl or other scripting/programming tools. 
Work with VMware vCenter and ESXi as well a KVM
Provide user account management and user access controls.
Provide support and troubleshoot in the following areas: Networking , DNS, web services (apache, tomcat), NFS, SMB, and OpenLDAP.
Perform periodic system back-ups and developing/documenting standard operating procedures for these activities

Proficiency with LINUX is a firm requirement
System administration experience with RedHat/CentOS 5, 6, 7 
Virtualization experience with VMware - vCenter and ESXi as well as KVM.
Ability to automate system tasks using  tools such as Bash, Python, and Perl.
Recent scripting experience using BOURNE Shell, C Shell or KORN Shell languages.
Recent  experience with Network Information Service (NIS), Network File System (NFS), Domain Name System (DNS), and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) or more years directly related experience. In lieu of Bachelors Degree eight (8) or more years directly related experience and/or certifications
TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Preferred Qualifications
RedHat Certifications are highly desirable and may substitute for 1 year experience. 
Experience with IAVA patching
Experience with NetApp and Isilon storage, NiagaraFiles (NiFi) dataflow.
Knowledge of networking, DNS, web services (apache, tomcat), NFS, SMB, and OpenLDAP.
Puppet experience desired.
