Description:
Job Summary:

A Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP) Analyst will produce full-spectrum threat assessments on the topic of Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI).  This requires the ability to reach out and locate a wide variety of subject matter experts to obtain information pertinent to the DCI being assessed.  The analyst will write comprehensive and detailed threat assessments and be able to brief these to high-level audiences.  This position requires the ability to juggle multiple tasks and condense information into concise and meaningful analysis.  

Primary Responsibilities:

The DCIP analyst will scan and review open source and intelligence reporting and recently published finished intelligence for possible threats to DCI.  Any significant findings will be reviewed and possibly be used for producing a strategic warning product.  The analyst will also be working on a large full-spectrum threat assessment that requires daily contact with experts throughout the Intelligence Community (IC).  This position involves a variety of intelligence databases and the ability to evaluate and guide collection efforts worldwide.  It also requires attending meetings with a variety of government agencies and briefing the summaries of written assessments.  Analyst will work in a team setting and coordinate workload with team members.


Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. 

Basic Qualifications:

The DCIP Analyst must be an excellent writer and be able to produce coherent infrastructure threat assessments on complex topics within reasonable but critical deadlines.  These large threat assessments are often a compendium of written contributions from subject matter experts throughout government.  These sections must be re-written and fused together into a seamless assessment of often more than 40 pages.  Demonstrated ability to write complex assessments in an analytical style is critical.  The analyst must have initiative to task outside agencies and ensure that contributions are made in a timely manner.  Working well in a team environment is vital.  Requirements include writing skills, initiative, and team player.  Knowledge of DHS or DoD infrastructure sectors and/or dependency network analyses are helpful.  Knowledge and familiarity of state and non-state actors and their associated threat capability helpful.
