Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager supporting the ”Total Aviation Support Services for the DEA Aviation Division”, Program, located at Alliance Field, FT. Worth, Texas. (This is a multi-year contract.)
The Successful candidate will be a dynamic and skilled professional experienced with FAA Aviation Operations, DOJ Operations, Worldwide contingency Operations, logistics and supply chain management. Candidate will direct and oversee the planning, execution and performance of all contractor activities that include over 100 program personnel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Contract objectives, meeting applicable local, state, county, Federal, Agency, and Office of Aviation Operations standards, laws, codes and regulations in the performance of contract requirements to include all facility, environmental, security, safety, human engineering and other related industry entities, government and regulatory standards.
Serves as the primary representative with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) regarding program status both technical and financial and interacts with a variety of customers on activities including the program’s accomplishments and successes as well as issues or conflicts that require resolution.
Managing a diverse team of Aviation professionals and Logistics experts in support of US Government contracts. This includes the integration of new and innovative technologies in the form of Elective Improvements as directed by the customer.
Planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of the program, including performance, schedules, costs, and customer satisfaction. Close daily interface with subcontractors, and support personnel is a large part of the job.
Providing proactive management and direction of personnel performing complex worldwide services.
Identify and provide recommendations for innovative quality-enhancements or cost savings in the performance of contract requirements, and submitting to the COR for implementation approval.
Select and recruit key team members and manage and mentor subordinate managers, including their effectiveness in managing their subordinates.
This large, fast-paced program requires an Operations focused leader that can stay calm in the midst of the complexities inherent to DEA Aviation Operations to provide a critical Operational capability to the customer.
The successful candidate will have the following Education/skills/experience:
A BSME/BS Degree in Business or Aviation-related field is required. Education/degree requirements may be substituted with training and job experience. (This position is full time located at the main on-site Alliance Facility.)
Fifteen (15) plus years’ managerial experience, with at least 10 years as a manager of a business with gross sales of $5 million or better and/or a division of a corporation with gross sales of $5 million or better with control of one hundred plus (100+) people that work in a technical capacity. A combination of military and civilian managerial experience is acceptable, with an emphasis on civilian corporate experience.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance within 30 days of submittal, or currently possess an active DOD Secret level Clearance.
Demonstrated experience must be in a similar position within the last twelve (12) months preferably in an aviation environment.

Experience managing Cost Plus, Time & Materials contracts, FAA Aviation operations, Law Enforcement Aviation Operations, DOJ Aviation operations and past experience managing a diverse 100+ airframe fleet consisting of both fixed wing and helicopters located at multiple works sites CONUS and OCONUS.
