Flight Program Lead Pilot
Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Program Lead Pilot supporting the ”Total Aviation Support Services for the DEA Aviation Division”, Program, located at Alliance Field, FT. Worth, Texas. (This is a multi-year contract.)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Implementation of the Program Flight training plan which provides Ground and Flight training from student pilot up to ATP certification in both fixed wing and helicopters. Operations will be conducted in accordance with FAA Part 91/125 and 135. All training will be conducted in accordance with FAA part 61/141 and 142 as required by the customer.
Ensure customer specific special training requirements are conducted in accordance with customer training and standards regulations.
Perform duties as a customer operational mission pilot both CONUS and OCONUS as required including deployment and operations within DOD designated combat zones.
The successful candidate will have the following Education/skills/experience:
Hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License and the following current FAA ratings:
(1) Single Engine Land (SEL) and Multi-Engine Land (MEL), and/or Rotorcraft Helicopter
(2) Instrument Airplane and/or Instrument Helicopter
(3) US FAA Certified Flight Instructor CFI/CFII in the following (both a and b):
a. ASEL, and/or AMEL, and/or Helicopter
b. Airplane Instrument and/or Helicopter Instrument
The ratings listed above shall have been held by the proposed instructor for the last five (5) consecutive years. The Flight Program Lead Pilot must have a minimum of 3,000 hours logged total pilot time with the following preferred minimum experience:
1,500 hours as an instructor
1,000 hours multi-engine pilot-in-command (PIC)
500 hours turbine engine PIC
200 hours night
1,000 hours cross country
250 hours instrument
500 hours instrument instruction
500 hours helicopter instruction
100 hours instrument helicopter instruction
200 hours Night Vision Goggle
Candidate shall hold a valid first-class FAA medical certificate. The pilot/instructor shall have served a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity. Spanish speaking ability is desired, but not required. The Flight Program Lead Pilot must have no previous aviation accident record.
Candidate must never have had any designation or rating suspended or revoked.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance within 30 days of submittal, or currently possess an active DOD Secret level Clearance.
This position is a full-time responsibility and must be located at the main on-site Alliance Facility.
