Sr. Software Engineer
The position of Senior Software Engineer performs standard programming methods and techniques. Provides analysis, where required, to assist in solving problems efficiently. Assists in developing test routines and data. Tests all codes personally produced, and assists in the testing of the total program, documenting, in standardized terminology, all procedures used. Interacts with customers and functional peer groups. Customer interaction normally is to demonstrate and test individual and team software.
Provides software development expertise and coordination to a team of software engineers engaged in software engineering effort. Must have experience in developing software in a team environment. Must have served as a programming task leader, on a recent software development effort using current technology and tools for development. Tasks includes but not limited to supervising less experienced software engineers, requirements analysis, updating weekly and monthly progress, reviewing work products, authoring development environment documentation, and assisting the Software Team lead in team tasks as necessary.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
Minimum/General Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience at demonstrably increasing levels of responsibility, with 2+ years’ experience in Java and C++. Must work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills. Direct experience in requirements analysis, system architecture, data modeling, user interface design. Experience with the software engineering and integration of capabilities associated with Live, Virtual, and Constructive training simulation programs highly desired. Experience developing in Java, Java Script and C++ on the OneSAF Program highly desired.
Must have active Secret clearance.
