Cyber Security Engineer
The Defense and Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Cybersecurity Engineer to work in the San Antonio, Texas office.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to support the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AFIPPS) mission. In this mission, Leidos will provide IT services to develop and deliver a payroll system to support all Air Force Active, Reserve and Guard uniformed personnel.
Perform review and analysis of AFIPPS designs and implementations to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force cybersecurity requirements.
Participate in automated and manual code inspections.
Conduct cybersecurity testing.
Lead the usage of cybersecurity tools.
Review results of system scans and manage any cybersecurity issues to their closure.
Stay integrated and engaged with cybersecurity notices and orders.
Investigate suspected cybersecurity issues.
Work closely with Air Force cybersecurity personnel and management to assure that AFIPPS meets all cyber security requirements.
Participate in engineering design reviews, and support integrated product teams with external agencies and their interfaces.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Previous experience with cybersecurity operations for large enterprise IT systems is required.
The ability to obtain an IT-II Tier 3 security clearance is required.
The ability to acquire the necessary cybersecurity professional certifications is required.
Experience with cybersecurity engineering and operations in a Department of Defense computing environment is highly desirable. Experience with analyzing the results of automated code scans, system scans and penetration tests is highly desirable. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is preferred.
