Senior Software/Data Analytics Engineer
Leidos has an immediate opportunity for an Software Engineer/Data Scientist to support the project while being forward deployed within the customer space. The Analytics Engineer will have extensive Software Engineering experience or a hybrid Software Engineer/Data Scientist. Must have expertise in the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex analytics. Various mission areas require assistance in determining the value of their products and workflow. The Analytics Engineer will forward deploy to work with other mission Subject Matter Experts and create analytics that will feed the application; a data-driven tool that enriches and visualizes outcomes.
An initial mission area has been identified and tasking will include developing and evolving complex analytics for situational awareness, trending, and change detection. The work will involve identifying source data, combination methods, and visualization needs.
The Analytics Engineer will work with back-end Engineers/Developers in getting the data to the application and participate in incorporating code into the application’s codebase.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
- Ability to work independently with complex data and application code
- Superb critical-thinking skills
- Niagrafiles (NiFi)
- Experience with Data Management Transport
- Spring Boot
