Senior IT Systems Engineer
The Defense and Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineer to work in the San Antonio, Texas office.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to support the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AFIPPS) mission. In this mission, Leidos will provide IT services to develop and deliver a payroll system to support all Air Force Active, Reserve and Guard uniformed personnel.
Perform requirements and fit/gap analysis and architecture design for the AFIPPS. Develop technical specifications and design documents to define and baseline the AFIPPS and its interfaces.
Participate in Agile SCRUM team activities. Support software development and integration, testing, data migration and deployment of the AFIPPS. Participate in engineering design reviews, and support integrated product teams with external agencies.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Must be US Citizen.
Previous experience with systems engineering of large enterprise IT systems is required.
The ability to obtain an IT-III Tier 1 security clearance is required.
Experience with systems architecture design and cybersecurity requirements compliance in a Department of Defense computing environment is highly desirable. Experience with performing systems engineering and SCRUM team leadership in an Agile development process is preferred. Working knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Human Capital Management HCM) Payroll capabilities is a plus. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is also a plus.
