Leidos has an immediate opening for a Senior Security Representative at Fort Belvoir, VA
The Security representative will be responsible for developing, implementing and providing guidance to customers and management on security issues such as security education, classified document control, security investigations, classification control and personnel clearances
Will be responsible for overall Program Security.
Security liaison with all subcontractors and be a fulltime program security presence, and handle any security issues expeditiously without any delay in program functions.
Will be responsible for registry operations and for checking in, and virus scanning media.
Will ensure that all assigned program personnel are appropriately cleared In Accordance With (IAW) customer driven guidance. This includes ensuring all requests for clearance accesses, to include both crossover and initial applicants are completed and forwarded appropriately to the sponsoring agency for adjudication and approval.
- Shall provide guidance and counsel on all aspects of the personnel security lifecycle, which includes Personnel Reporting
Requirements, Foreign Contact, Foreign Travel and other requirements as defined in government regulations.
Will ensure that program personnel maintain compliance with all program security requirements, such as handling classified material and transportation, SCIF (Special Compartmented Information Facility) requirements, building security requirements and other company or government imposed requirements.
Will be responsible for ensuring reports of investigations are completed in a timely manner when a security incident or violation is reported, so as not to negatively impact the program.
Will also coordinate all badging requests for new personnel.
Shall focus heavily on Security Awareness and Education training efforts.
Shall ensure compliance with associated COMSEC duties and activities.
Coordinate all briefing and debriefing activities where and when required.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Active Top Secret Clearance is required to be considered.
This position is in direct support of the Defense Threat Reduction (DTRA).
Must be knowledgeable of DTRA processes and serve as the primary liaison for security matters.
