Description:

The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Network Security Manager in the National Capital Region. Exact position location within the NCR to be determined.

JOB SUMMARY:

Leidos is seeking a Network Security Manager with demonstrated experience leading the design, planning, configuration, and implementation of network and Cyber Security  actions for effective Cyber Readiness of the US Navy Next Generation Enterprise Network Recompete (NGEN-R) program.  The Network Security Manager will provide direction and guidance on the complex technical design, implementation, and network security posture  of the NMCI enterprise network. As the Network Security Manager, the ideal candidate will lead the review, analysis, evaluation, risk assessment, and the development of recommendations for required DON vulnerability management, analysis and while ensuring the appropriate safeguards cyber security best practices are applied effectively to protect the NMCI networks, and implement and report on compliance against Risk Management Framework (RMF) or DoD IA Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) guidelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Provide technical leadership to evaluate, recommend, design, and integrate new security technology and tools by conducting feasibility studies, proof of concepts, pilot projects, and other research and development initiatives.

•Assess and analyze organizational progress against existing security strategies as well as identify, implement and maintain new strategies that address the vision, mission and goals of senior leaders and the Department of Navy (DON) as a whole.

•Provide direction and guidance on RMF compliance and obtain formal government Approval to Operate (ATO) when developing new or updating existing technical designs.

•Assess risk of exposure through weaknesses in platforms, access controls, and configuration of the DON's systems and the data contained within.

•Provide network engineering expertise and guidance for the design, development, and implementation of IT solutions that protect and monitors the Navy Enterprise Networks (NEN).

•Provide guidance and leadership for the development of highly innovative solutions, achieved through collaboration and dialogue with other experts.


Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in a related field with 12+ years of overall relevant experience with 10+ years of the 12 in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
•Demonstrated experience with tools such as Nessus, Web Application Firewalls, Network Access Control, Endpoint protection and Security Information, and Event Management tools such as ArcSight.
•Experience with Microsoft® Visio, Word, and Excel.
•Currently possess DoD 8570 IAT / IAM II or III Certifications such as CAP, CASP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, GCED, GCIH, Security+, etc.
•Currently possess a DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
•Cloud security experience.
•Prior Navy NGEN or NMCI experience.
•Prior Navy ONE-Net experience.
