Description:
The NISC III program at Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower Simulation System (TSS) Program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The Systems Engineer will provide management, monitoring, testing, and reporting support for the TSS.

The primary responsibilities for this requisition include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting system development and acquisition in the iterative systems engineering process
  • Coordinating with industry to ensure continuous availability of simulation assets in the National Aerospace System (NAS)  
  • Identifying and deploying emerging technologies to enhance the availability, accessibility, and effectiveness of technology training solutions including remote capabilities and mobile technology



Qualifications:
Typical education and experience:
  • Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.


Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of verifiable experience in systems engineering
  • Experience in applying systems engineering principles to the installation, management, monitoring, and testing of simulation systems
  • Experience in preparing and presenting briefings to management and tower facility personnel.


Desired skills

  • Experience in simulation systems, especially Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower Simulation Systems (TSS) and air traffic control is highly desirable.
