Best Practices and IT Standards Manager
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Best Practices and IT Standards Manager in the National Capital Region. Exact position location within the NCR to be determined.
Leidos is seeking an IT Service Manager to serve as the Best Practices and IT Standards Manager for the Department of Navy (DON) Next Generation Recompete (NGEN-R) contract. In this role, the IT Service Manager will provide guidance and oversight on the implementation and execution of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Information Technology Information Library (ITIL), Defense Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF), Navy Process Model (NPRM), COBIT, Agile, and Project Management among other industry standard best practices to enable centralized planning and decentralized development and execution of IT processes.
The IT Service Manager will provide oversight and management of all ITSM related functions to include but not limited to:
•Execute ITSM Processes (i.e. Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation) outlining ownership, purpose, scope, outcomes, activities/tasks, interfaces, information work products, roles, skills, critical success factors.
•Ensure the program employs best practices across the process baseline.
•Manage the collection of process execution metrics and leads process improvement events employing best practices such as lean six sigma.
•Lead the alignment of program processes to the Government Process Frameworks and Guides and the development of documentation detailing processes, procedures and work instructions to execute the process.
•Ensure all process engineering activities follow the accepted lifecycle and that all Government / Leidos touch points are identified and documented.
•Lead process management including the processing of process exceptions.
•Ensure achievement of all process execution related SLRs and KPIs.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience.
•Demonstrated experience with applying and managing tasks associated with ITIL.
•Demonstrated experience leading trend and availability analysis processes in determining future system capacity and demand requirements.
•Demonstrated experience ensuring service performance and delivery are meeting service level agreement requirements.
•Prior DON NGEN or NMCI experience.
•Knowledge of the Navy’s guide for implementation of the Defense Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF).
•At least one process improvement certification from industry such as Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, Agile, or PMP.
