Description:

Required Qualifications:

 

•    Maintain a central technical and knowledge base repository of all supported services and applications. Customer has established a Configuration Management (CM) process for the management of changes to Configuration Items (CI) that are in production.  The Resource shall follow the established process for implementing any changes to the production environment.  This will include the review of Change Requests (CRs) and ensuring the integrity of the production baseline


•    The Resource shall adhere to SDS’s CM processes and procedures for managing changes to systems being developed and/or currently in place.


•    The Resource shall maintain and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that describe the processes covered in SDS’s Configuration Management Plan as needed


•    The Resource shall be responsible for the distribution, installation, and maintenance, such as upgrading and patching, of approved software


•    Maintain Configuration Documentation.   The Resource shall log all changes made in the DOJ/ITSM system based on BMC/ITSM (Remedy) database, including noting the specifics of the change, the date, the initiator of the change, and who implemented the change.


•    Maintain System Documentation.  The Resource shall maintain timely, accurate system documentation, including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), “as-built” documentation, system design, system implementation plans, and systems diagrams.


•    Monitor recommended and required corrections to software from third-party software vendors for software maintained by the team


•    Track and oversee functions in support of the established release plan. For infrastructure releases only, coordinate release acceptance activities, as well as, coordinate the distribution and installation of releases in accordance with the Customer Release Management process and associated procedures


•    Validate that the release and deployment has produced the intended outcome.  Review the release and deployment for improvements as well as document any work-around or correction


•    Reevaluate the release and deployment process for failures as well as communicate results back to Customer along with all relevant parties involved


•    Obtain and validate all necessary authorizations as well as approvals for each release and deployment


•    Resolve all release issues that pertain to the deployment and provide proper testing for all infrastructure releases going into the managed environments


•    Coordinate with the other staffs to identify testing requirements and perform an integrated pre-Production test prior to migrating code into the Customer production environment from any development environment, including that of the Resource, SDS, or any other third-party vendor


•    Collaborate with  a single point of contact for each release and deployment implementation


•    Track and oversee functions in support of the established release plan. •    Validating that all items being rolled out or changed are secure and traceable via the Change and Release Management Processes

EDUCATION:

 

Typically requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
