Missile Seeker Scientist
Leidos is seeking a Missile Seeker Scientist to support a client’s requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. There is no exception to the clearance requirement.
Successful candidates will work well in team environments and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to effectively interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization. The Seeker Analyst will also be adept at mentoring junior colleagues and will be expected to present training courses and talks to both general and technical audiences on occasion.
Required Skills: The Seeker Scientist must be knowledgeable of missile seekers and their components, signal processing techniques and guidance algorithms. Industrial experience with radar, infrared, and electro-optical seekers, including design specification, performance modeling, manufacturing, electronic protection and countermeasures is needed. Experience should be with SAR seekers, phase array radar, hyperspectral imaging, ground moving target indicators, reconnaissance payloads, focal plane arrays, precision trackers, optical assemblies and/or gimbals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: 12 years of experience is required, 15 or more years of experience is desired. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred.
