The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) at Leidos currently has a career opportunity for a Software Integration Engineer to support IRAD programs, located in Colorado Springs, CO.
The effort supports the development of system integration software incorporating government mandated standards. The job of the Software /Integration Engineer is to support a variety of efforts to include software development, software integration, software installation at customer sites. The role includes emphasis on design, build, integration, testing and installation of software. The role includes a requirement to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Assist in the elicitation and capture of software integration requirements.
- Assist in programming on software development projects.
- Perform design and technical status meetings on an as-needed basis to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain accurate and complete project documentation.
- Support certification and accreditation needs.
- Work within a collaborative, distributed, team environment across multiple locations.

-Bachelor’s degree and 8--12+ years experience in a relevant engineering, information systems or computer science field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
-Experience working with XML, Java and familiarity of Service Oriented Architecture principles and their applications.
-Experience with Java Message Services (JMS) ActiveMQ.
-Experience with SOAP and Rest based web services.
-Familiar with virtualization solutions (e.g., CITRIX, HyperV, VMWare), as well as Windows System Administration.
-Experience with full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
-Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
-Familiar with Microsoft Office tools: Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
-Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
-Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture principles and their applications.
-System Integration experience within a virtualized environment.
-Experience using SVN, GIT or similar configuration management tools.
-Linux system administration experience.
-Experience with virtualization solutions installation and administration.
-Have hands on experience with ESBs, and understand enterprise services need, develop proof-of-concepts, collaborate and select solutions.
-Understanding of current computer networks, protocols and network management concepts.
-Experience utilizing JIRA for engineering task and bug tracking
