Leidos has a career opportunity for a Unit Deployment Manager at Shaw AFB. Candidates must already possess a current Secret clearance in order to be considered.
Description: The successful applicant will assist Joint Task Force (JTF) and Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) planners prepare for forward deployed combat operations and exercise events. The applicant will establish processes for an Air Force (AF) unit to manage its own and subordinate unit deployment requirements and report readiness status. Applicants will help create programs to determine deployment readiness status; ensure detected deficiencies are corrected; help assigned personnel prepare and process for deployments/re-deployments to/from combat zones, exercises, and other locations in compliance with USG, AF and COCOM directives; coordinate and schedule required pre-departure training; and maintain individual mobility folders for all unit personnel. The applicant will manage deployment reporting in the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART) including Unit Type Code (UTC) posturing and individual status updates and Mission Essential Task List (METL) for proper unit posturing. Specifically, the duties will include but not be limited to:  overseeing and guiding wing/group/squadron ART reporting; build/maintain UTCs and compare Unit Type Code Authorizations (UTA) with Unit Manning Documents (UMD) to identify and fix mismatches; oversee squadron-level DRSS reporting; help ensure wing staff personnel are ready for deployment and make Unit Identification Code (UIC) changes as required; and conduct semi-annual ART, DRRS and UDM Wing-level self-inspections. They will use LOGMOD and MS Office / Excel to track pre-deployment/post-deployment mobility, logistics, security, ancillary training, medical, and dental requirements and report individual and unit deployment statistics.

Qualifications:   Minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant Air Force or Army / USMC units inclusive of 5 years unit deployment management experience.  Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a minimum SECRET security clearance. Ability to obtain TS/SCI.
