The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) at Leidos currently has an opening for a Systems Administrator to work in our San Diego, Ca office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience providing advanced computing solutions in a heterogeneous environment.  We use a wide array of Windows and Linux systems tightly integrated as well as departmental compute clusters.  If you want to work in a diverse environment that allows you to get into every aspect of building, maintaining and designing complex computing systems this is a great opportunity!

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Automation of Hardware/Software test and validation to support patching in labs
-Write Bash or Power Shell scripts to automate system maintenance and operation
-Configuration, setup and maintenance of air-gapped networks
-Review system logs for performance tuning and troubleshooting
-Able to maintain mixed platform environments (Primarily RHEL/CentOS and Windows)
-Secure Windows and Linux Operating Systems as well as maintain script systems for doing so
-Hardware troubleshooting (COTS PC, printer, switches, encryptors)
-Using system deployment and imaging tools
-Manage daily break/fix scenarios, updates, backups, monitoring and user requests
-Documentation and Configuration Management

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below

-BA/BS along with  5+  years of  experience in Windows or Linux Systems administration
-Solid working knowledge of Windows or Linux systems
-Must be eligible for a Top Secret, SCI clearance and Special Programs
-Must have working knowledge of Windows Powershell and/or Linux Bash scripting or advanced languages
-Ability to take and follow technical direction
-Excellent customer service skills and clear communications both written and oral
-Self-starter capable of working through daily tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration

-Security +, A+, N+ or other certificate that provides 8570 compliance
-Advanced Windows or Linux Certifications
-HPC, Hadoop or Clustered Storage systems
-Advanced Shell Scripting
