The ILC Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Shipboard Installer and Field Technician to work in our Chesapeake, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the ILC mission. In this mission we conduct maintenance, modernization, and installation of ASW sonar systems in support of our customer.
1. Perform cable removal, connector building, installation, and finalization on US Navy Ships.
2. Ability to follow direction, learn to read installation drawings, and work as part of a team.
3. This position requires travel and overtime.
The Shipboard Installer Field Technician “must have” MINIMUM requirements to be considered for the position and ensure minimum qualifications fall within the minimum Leidos job code requirements.
Proven performer and self-starter with the ability to work well as a part of a team.
Ability to learn installation techniques and methods quickly and produce a quality product.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Possess a valid passport.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience/combination education with additional technical training sufficient to perform maintenance tasks and less than 1 year of experience.
1. Alteration Installation Team (AIT) experience
