Technical Analyst (Short-Term Need)
This position will provide configuration management, logistics management and inventory management activities in support of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) Depot for 12 weeks. The position will perform asset management tasks, such as imaging computers with Standard Client before they are shipped to employees; testing returned computers to determine whether they can be re-issued, require repair, warranty service, or disposition; “wiping” and prepare computers for property disposition; coordinate warranty repair with vendors; performing diagnostics on defective computers returned to the MMAC Depot; working with Configuration Management Section in testing new hardware and Standard Client versions; setting up and supporting the imaging effort at the Depot; preparing and providing reports on performance, activities, and achievements; imaging and configuring local file computers used in the imaging process; perform batch runs and testing of batches to ensure product meets standard configuration standards; and provide support for customer coordination and support ensuring the execution and continuous improvement of standard processes by demand management, researching, and providing correspondence regarding technical issues.
Requires BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 2 or more years of prior relevant experience. Additional education may be considered to offset experience requirements.
