Leidos is seeking highly qualified candidates to support a government client. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance to be considered. Join our team of national-level analysts and technical experts supporting decision-makers and policy development for the mission to lead and support the counterintelligence and security activities of the US Government, the US Intelligence Community, and US private sector entities.

The Research Methodologist will:
• Conduct research to examine the effectiveness of personnel security and CI programs and processes currently in place across the USIC and provide recommendations for improvement
• Review current security/CI procedures and concepts, propose and test hypotheses for enhancing the future effectiveness of security/CI programs, and conduct a wide range of studies and other essential activities to advance the body of knowledge necessary for addressing the tactical and strategic personnel security and CI needs across the Federal Government
• Assist with baselining CI and security practices in multiple USIC elements
• Assist USIC components and Other Government Agencies in building performance measurement and evaluation systems within their respective organizations
• Attend working groups to record issues and recommend solutions relative to research topics and implementation issues
• Attend conferences and presentations, as deemed necessary by the program manager and approved by the Contracting Officer (CO), in furtherance of planned or existing research efforts
• Provide technical assessments, strategy, and execution recommendations for designated special topics
• Prepare reports and present briefings for senior officials and others, as required
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent, related work experience - 10 years of relevant technical work experience.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in conducting empirical research, surveys, and polling, especially as it relates to the behavioral sciences
- 5 years working knowledge of quantitative methodology (e.g., statistical inference, operations research, or methodological design)
- 5 years of demonstrated experience with writing research reports following prescribed American Psychological Association guidelines and presenting briefings to individuals with varying levels of experience (e.g., senior officials, researchers, policymakers, etc.)
- 3 years of experience working with or in the USIC (may be concurrent with the requisite 10 years of work experience)"" "" - Demonstrated ability in using quantitative techniques to help solve business or intelligence problems
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead research projects designed to help improve and modernize the investigative and adjudicative processes affecting both government and industry
- Demonstrated skill in managing external research efforts into areas relevant to emerging personnel security and CI challenges
- Demonstrated skill in evaluating current training programs, to include developing and implementing evaluation instruments
- Demonstrated ability to extract data contained in large databases and analyze that data to derive meaningful information
- Familiarity with the USIC and its components, as well as its missions, disciplines, capabilities, and interrelationships"""

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree with a strong background and demonstrated experience in applied behavioral sciences research - 10 years demonstrated experience/ability in conducting empirical research, surveys, and polling, especially as it relates to the behavioral sciences - Experiential background in conducting research projects related to personnel security, clinical psychology, social psychology or other relevant area of the behavioral sciences
