Senior Transportation Engineer / Manager
Candidate will be support Traffic Safety, Operations, Freight and Asset Management program areas with senior-level thought leadership, technical direction and business development.
This position can be worked remotely and will allow for telecommuting.
Duties will include customer relationship management, providing technical guidance to project and proposal teams (including in-house staff and subcontractors), providing thought-leadership on strategic solutions to transportation problems, reviewing reports and proposals, and other duties as assigned.
The candidate will be responsible for adhering to deadlines; communicating with customers, in-house staff, and subcontractors about project direction and goals; public speaking; and presenting to Leidos management.
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 15+ years of experience in transportation-related field. Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in the United States.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
25+ years of State or local transportation agency experience preferred, including multiple executive leadership positions (e.g., Division Director at a State DOT or similar agency). Some private sector experience desired (no minimum number of years) that included business development activities to government agencies.
