Program Summary 
This unique Java Software Developer opportunity will allow you to participate on a high-visibility DoD/Intel program that provides software design, development, and component testing to an important customer in the cyber arena.  More specifically, it has been the development contract for a major systems acquisition program within the one of the DoD's premier Cyberwarfare organizations to modernize the infrastructure used for managing its mission. This group of elite Cyber professionals is now focused on developing the next generation of cutting-edge Computer Network Operations (CNO) mission management capabilities.

Position Summary
A Sr. Java Software Developer is needed to support a Leidos sole Sourced Prime Contract. The work is being accomplished in our state of the art facility in Annapolis Junction. The developer will be responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications and applying frameworks involved in a software release. 

Responsibilities include:
Design, develop,  implement, unit test, and document client and server applications primarily using the Java programming language. Additional scripting languages such as but not limited to Perl, Vscript, VBscript, Python and SQL may also be used.
Develop applications that utilize XML (eXtensible Markup Language).
Develop and enhance applications using the following: CGI-Perl, Apache Ant, TOMCAT, Java, J2EE, Hibernate, DHPC, EJB, JAF, Java applets,  Java logging, Java IO/NIO, Java patterns, Java runtime proxy  interface, Java security, Java XML parsing (DOM, SAX), JDBC, JBOSS, JMS, JMX, JNDI, LDAP, Multi-threaded applications, NTP, ODBC, RMI, SOAP/XML RPC, Servlets & JSPs, SOAP, WSDL, XML, XPath, XSD, XSLT, BEA Weblogic Server/Portal, Commons Logging, Eclipse, JUnit, AJAX, SPARQL, Spring, and Log4j related applications and technologies.
Develop and enhance applications using DBVisualizer, DreamWeaver, Subversion, PowerDesigner, and Documentum products.
Administer and/or maintain databases such as Mongo and SQL

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study. In lieu of Bachelors two (2) related technical certifications may be considered.
A firm understanding of modern computer programming with twelve (12) or more years experience in programming and providing direction for the design and development of application software for complex systems; software testing as well as solving varied software related problems; and generating and reviewing software design for accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget and schedule. 
Ten (10) or more years experience with programming using modern software environments  
Experience working in an Agile environment
