Leidos currently has an exciting career opportunity for Mid-Level Software Engineers to work in our Beavercreek, OH office.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support AFRL’s Sensors Analysis, Integration, and Test (SAIT) program. The objectives of the program are to provide technical and operational analysis of new and evolving sensor systems, assess advanced sensor technologies, provide ground and flight demonstrations and tests, and to explore and perform sensor system integration into laboratories, aircraft, and other vehicles as necessary.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- The position will be responsible for leading software development within the project in coordination with the chief engineer.
- Develop innovative solutions to support operational missions
- Integrate new and existing sensor systems into a larger system of systems
- Perform complete software development life-cycle including requirements, design, testing and implementation phases.
- Be able to work independently and have strong hands-on background.
Eligible for Referral Bonus
-Bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years’ experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
-In-depth knowledge of and experience programming in C++ and Java.
-Proficiency developing SW in Visual Studio, Netbeans and/or Eclipse.
-Knowledge of GIT or other SW configuration management systems.
-Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
-Active Secret Security clearance
-Experience with Open Architectures, such as Open Mission Systems
-Experience interfacing to avionics systems hardware.
-Experience with 3D visualization using OpenGL.
-Experience programming in C#, Python, and/or Perl.
-Experience with parallel processing development using MPI, OpenMP, and/or OpenCL.
-Experience with FPGA and/or GPU development
-Experience working in a Research and Development (R&D) environment
