Leidos has a career opening for an Air Force Strategic Account Executive located in Reston, VA.


The Air Force Strategic Account Executive is the lead Leidos official responsible for strengthening and advancing trusted relationships with the United States Air Force, a Leidos strategic customer, with the objective of increased revenue and growth in Air Force business.  The Air Force Strategic Account Executive must have proven skills and an in-depth knowledge of current and evolving Air Force missions, the full range of current and emerging Air Force doctrine, operational concepts, and requirements, and the Air Force role within joint U.S. military operations.  The Air Force Strategic Account Executive should be familiar with and remain current regarding Air Force leadership and leaders throughout the Department of Defense. The position also serves as the Government Affairs Representative to the Air Force. The Air Force Strategic Account Executive will report to the Senior Vice President, Senior Accounts Executive & Government Relations.


General responsibilities include: identifying, qualifying, and supporting capture and closure on Air Force business opportunities; facilitating needs identification; marketing the full range of corporate capabilities; and maximizing internal collaboration as detailed by the following specific responsibilities:

-Portfolio Management

-General Account Oversight



-Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years or equivalent and extensive professional knowledge in the US Air Force with executive-level leadership experience.  Master’s degree preferred.

-Service as Air Force Flag Officer or Senior Civilian Executive strongly desired.

-Must possess extensive understanding of Air Force customers and Air Force doctrine, concepts, and requirements.

-Demonstrated ability to develop new and innovative ideas to assist development of programs supporting quantitative top line growth of Air Force portfolio.

-Familiarity and ability to explain Leidos solutions, services, technologies and capabilities.

-Proven ability to work in a complex, multi-faceted organization with a wide range of customer offerings. Ability to develop, and sustain Air Force customer relationships at all requisite levels.

-Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization.

-Ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
