Distribution Line CAD Designer
Leidos has an immediate opportunity for a Distribution Line CAD Designer in our Framingham, MA office. The successful candidate will work in a team atmosphere to provide technical and project support for distribution line projects and other tasks, as assigned. He/she will be responsible for design and planning efforts related to distribution physical facilities. This includes preparation of drawings specifications and reports to define the scope of work associated with the construction of distribution lines. He/she will prepare or review Construction One-Line Drawings, Plan View Drawings, Plan and Profile Drawings, Permit Drawings, Easement Sketches, Petition Sketches, and Land Base Surveys utilizing AutoCAD as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D. He/she will support engineers with specific assignments like reviewing supplied drawings, balancing schedules and due dates, and perform analyses in association with distribution projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will periodically interface with clients, and will provide assistance to Project Engineer.
Candidate must be fluent in AutoCAD Civil 3D, specifically creating plan and profile drawings.
• Associates Degree with 2+ years of experience. High school diploma with additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills required
• Detail oriented
• AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to learn/pick up various distribution specific software and standards (PLS CADD, Sag 10, etc.)
