The Operations and Logistics Solutions (O&LS) Organization at Leidos is currently seeking a Quality Lead/Safety Representative to support the ASP/TSA Program in Kuwait.

Reports simultaneously to the program Quality Manager (QM) and the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager. With guidance and oversight from the Quality and EHS Managers, this position is responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance of the Quality and EHS programs. Assists with managing and accomplishing required functions for the ASP at Camp Buehring, in Kuwait. Works closely with external Quality, EHS, and COR auditors and ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.  

Ensures required quality training is scheduled and conducted. Conducts required periodic quality audits as directed. Monitors and measures performance in operations, maintenance, training, and management. Identifies and corrects potential and actual adverse trends throughout the entire scope of the contract.  Coordinates preventive and corrective actions across management channels and reports on the status of the quality system. Works with the QM to facilitate continual process improvement across the enterprise and documents results. Assist, as needed, with the set up and maintenance of document control procedures. Under the direction of the QM, plans, coordinates, and manages a QC program designed to meet customer requirements, drive continual improvement, and ensure customer satisfaction. Assists the QM with collection of audit data to analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters.

Ensures required safety training is scheduled and conducted. Conducts required periodic safety inspections as directed. Investigates all accidents to determine future preventive measures and conducts safety stand down briefings as necessary. Under the direction of the EHS Manager, responsible for the compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) and explosive safety operations with local and US environmental safety regulations. Provides OSHA safety and HAZMAT program control and oversight of reception, storage and issue of ammunition, and associated residue and packaging materials. Assures availability of required safety information and materials such as Safety Data Sheets, hazard labeling of containers, labeling of industrial support equipment, etc.

High School diploma with 2-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance functions and operations and/or Safety. 

Direct experience with/knowledge of explosive safety, proper munitions storage procedures, vehicle safety, quality audit procedures, and material safety hazards is highly preferred. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is required. 

Must be familiar with the methodologies, tools and concepts of quality management. 

Must be able to: obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance; speak and write English fluently; attain and maintain a Kuwait Driver’s License (KDL).
