Leidos has job opening for a IT/Cyber Engineering Intern in Reston, VA.
We have several openings for college entry-level technical interns to be part of a team of engineers addressing emerging challenges in Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Systems Architecture and Engineering. Interns will be assigned tasks that are relevant and necessary to the successful execution of Leidos Information Technology execution. Leidos will provide the candidate with real world experience and technical and career mentorship throughout the internship, which may result in full-time employment opportunities upon graduation. Working under the general supervision of senior staff, typical intern work assignments might include: software engineering, cybersecurity analysis, project management, infrastructure support, documenting test results, writing reports, developing process documentation, problem research, preparing presentations, and presenting test results.
-Enterprise Applications support: Requirements, design, implementation, test; tailoring of commercial solutions, development of data access techniques.
-Infrastructure support: Primarily end user support in a helpdesk or desktop engineering environment with MS Windows, MS Exchange, Active Directory and ServiceNow.
-Architecture & Engineering: working closely with Leidos’ Architecture & Engineering team to understand backend platforms, system integration, analysis and design.
-Cyber Security Engineering: Support the mission to analyze threats, design and deploy cyber technologies to support our customers and the Leidos enterprise. Creatively develop cyber training using video technologies. Support to proposals, programs or hands on integration of solutions needed.
-Business Integration Planning: assist in the evaluation of health and status of current IT projects, support the development of Project Management artifacts including cost and schedule tracking and analysis and process advancement.
-Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CyberSecurity, Information Technology or other Technical or Business, and have completed at least three years of an undergraduate curriculum or two years of experience and maintained a minimum 3.0.
-Overall experience with software engineering lifecycle support (requirements, design, implementation, test).
-Demonstrated leadership ability through community or campus involvement.
-U.S. Citizenship is required.
-Prior experience or classroom training related to software engineering, cyber security, technology, business management, project management or IT support.
