The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Vice President, Maritime Operations & Logistics Solutions Division. Primary work location for this position is Reston, VA, but other locations may be considered for the preferred candidate.
Reporting to the Defense & Intelligence Group Operations and Logistics Solutions SVP, the Maritime Division Manager provides overall leadership for one of three Mission Areas generating over $200M in orders and $200M in sales annually, with a dispersed team of Leidos employees and subcontractors. The mission area focus includes Life Cycle Support - Fleet & Field, Logistics Application Development & Sustainment, Warfighter Readiness, Fuel Measurement & Management, Product Development & Manufacturing, Logistics Optimization, Analytics, Modeling, & Enabling Technologies, Asset Visibility & Management, Warehouse Operations, Depot Maintenance, & Repairables, and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability.
•All customer, employee, program, financial, and new business for the Maritime Operations & Logistics Solutions Division.
•Short and long range strategies and commitments to maintain and grow the business.
•Proactively leverage resources and build relationships internally and externally with company leadership, customers, and partners on multiple levels (PM, Acquisition, In-theater/at Sea, etc.).
•Engage in strategic thinking by understanding “big picture” analysis both from the technological and business case perspectives for both new and existing market initiatives.
•Develop strategic, innovative, and creative solutions and implement those solutions successfully to meet internal partner and external customer commitments.
•Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience.
•Prior experience running a significant portfolio of DoD and/or Maritime (Navy and/or Coast Guard-Based Logistics type programs in services based environments (US & International) comprised of multiple contract types (CPFF, CPIF, FFP, T&M, etc.).
•Demonstrated ability to manage and grow all aspects of a business area successfully including customers, people, programs, financials, and new business.
•Proven successful track record working and negotiating with customers (PM and Acquisition) to secure program portfolio growth through modifications, re-competes, takeaways, and new business.
•Demonstrated experience to effectively engage diverse customers and lead a sizeable distributed workforce.
•Ability to apply situational leadership and collaboration through engagements with workforce, partners, customer and company leadership.
•Proven ability to positively influence change at different levels of the organization.
•Demonstrated ability to identify and develop organizational talent with cultural optimization skills.
•Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
•Currently possess a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
•Master’s Degree Preferred; military war college, or other strategic experience at the executive level of US Navy or DOD highly desired.
•Large scope, multi-program experience with $100M+ annual sales.
•Ability to travel and work with customers, partners and workforce at the program locations.
•Knowledge of innovative industry business models and corresponding “go to market” solutions to aid in further improving the Operations and Logistics Solutions competitive market differentiators.
•Knowledge of Performance Based Logistics pillars and their application in maritime based environments.
•Ability to establish customer and industry relationships to further engage partnerships creating new capabilities and increasing market share in new markets or white space opportunities.
•Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a virtual team across multiple geographical locations.
•Experience managing international programs & customers.
•Senior level leadership experience from the US Navy, US Naval Reserve, or US Coast Guard.
