The Leidos Airborne Integration & Ground Processing Systems operation of the Advanced Solutions Group currently has a career opportunity for a Electrical CAD Drafter to support the Airborne Reconnaissance Low Enhanced (ARL-E) program located in Manassas, VA. ARL-E is a multi-year program supporting the U.S. Army with upgrading and enhancing the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet.


This is an exciting opportunity to use your CAD skills to help in designing and maintaining electrical systems on the U.S. Army's Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced mission DHC-8-300 fleet. 


Primary Responsibilities

In this position your primary responsibilities will include generating and revising electrical drawings using CAD software packages. This shall include cable assembly and cable installation drawings, as well as revising wiring diagrams, per standard engineering drafting practices. Secondary responsibilities may include electrical part and vendor research, drawing peer reviews, and design improvement recommendations. Employee will report to Lead Electrical Engineers, but will interact closely with mechanical engineering team, mission integration team and program management.



Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1-3 years of electrical CAD drafting
  • Electrical system knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and possess strong time management skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical AutoCAD software experience
  • Aircraft electrical systems drafting experience
  • Aviation background
  • Cable production experience
  • Ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI security clearance
