Senior/Lead Software Developer (Herndon, VA)

We are currently seeking a full time professional Agile senior / lead software developer to join our expanding team of software developers. Our growing technical software development team works closely with the IC community providing high quality translation services and support.
Leverage knowledge and experience in software engineer to support end-to-end delivery of the TONS application, a complex web application which consists of custom code, COTS product integration and web service functionality used to facilitate the customer process of document translation identification, development and implementation of enterprise business processes to better leverage advances in translation services using a native workflow program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-As part of the AGILE development process, lead, develop and perform daily development responsibilities on a high demanding level to complete technical tasks.
-Participate and lead in code reviews on a bi-weekly basis or as needed with the development team and participated in weekly review meetings for System Change Requests.
-Ensure program management is continuously informed and up to date on the state of development for the TONS program, including any known risks or pending milestones as well as offer potential solutions and recommendations for mitigation.
-Perform acceptance testing of the technical issues to ensure that the release contains all elements as agreed upon by the customer.
-Perform critical deployment activities to ensure that the TONS application functions optimally and with minimum outage time.
-Provide 2nd and 3rd level support of customer needs and questions on a daily basis, both via phone support as well as in person at the customer site.
-Requires a BS Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
-Demonstrate knowledge and software engineering experience to facilitate and communicate to multiple audience levels in both oral and written formats.
-Demonstrated experience working in a matrix or team based organizational structure; self-motivated.
