Description:
Leidos has an opportunity for a Naval Integration Planner to join our team at MacDill, AFB.

JOB SUMMARY:  
The person filling this position will work at the three-star level, Marine Forces, U.S. Central Command (MARCENT) Headquarters as the command’s naval integrator responsible for the planning of USMC and USN integration efforts in the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility.  

This person will represent the command at Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), USCENTCOM and NAVCENT level planning events to best plan for, analyze and assess naval force integration efforts.  This person will also be the command’s assistant planner on major Operational Plans (OPLANs) that support naval integration efforts, to include but not limited to maritime raids, NEO, HA, DR, and MPF operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
* Understand the force management process for planning, prioritizing, and designating operations of both USMC and USN forces
* Track ongoing and emerging integration efforts between Marine and Naval forces in other combatant commands from the tactical to the operational level in order to determine best practices and apply efforts in CENTCOM
* Participate in planning teams to determine opportunities for naval support in contingency plans development and understand the command relationships of those operations
* Interact with HQMC (PP&O and CD&I) and MARFORCOM on Service-level naval integration efforts and issues 
* Maintain awareness of Naval Board and Maritime Working Group discussions and general officer level decisions. Prepare products to support informed decision-making by the Commander, USMARCENT
* Serve as the MARCENT liaison to NAVCENT
* Review Joint and Service level doctrine pertaining to Naval operating concepts, ship posture, building, and MPF operations
* Chair an assessment cell of component action officers to evaluate and track integration efforts
* Develop assessments, briefs, and information papers as required
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) guidance and recommendations
* Support internal MARCENT working groups as needed
* Advise COMUSMARCENT on appropriate use of forward positioned afloat and ashore prepositioning capabilities
* Review Marine Corps and Navy doctrine regarding prepositioning employment and new platform operational employment 
* Develop and execute prepositioning strategies, plans, concepts and tasks supporting tailoring of Maritime Prepositioning Force ships 
* Prepare prepositioning estimates, conduct MPF budget review, and attend MPF planning conferences as the MARCENT Subject Matter Expert in support of MARCENT Exercise section 
* Identify, improve and document MARCENT prepositioning capabilities and relationships
* Maintain the MARCENT prepositioning web pages, historical files, and other required documentation
* Provide advice and information to CENTCOM J4 Plans regarding prepositioning and seabasing capabilities and operational employment 
* Represent MARCENT at Service level prepositioning and seabasing working groups as requested by Capabilities Development, Plans, Policies and Operations, and Installations and Logistics

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
* Bachelor's degree and 15 years of relevant experience
* Active TS/SCI clearance
* Ability to travel overseas on short notice
* Surface Warfare Officer
* Command and Staff College, or service equivalent, complete
* Minimum 3 years’ experience at a component and/or Combatant Command level staff
* Possess knowledge/experience with amphibious naval operations and MPF operations 
* Possess an understanding of naval planning and the composite warfare concept (CWC) construct
* Experience in DoD planning with an understanding of the Joint and Marine Corps planning processes
* Minimum 3 years relevant Joint Staff/COCOM/Component/Service logistics experience  
* MPF experience at the MEF or Fleet level 
* Service on HQMC CD/PP&O/I&L staff or HQ, DoN N4 Staff
* Experience in planning and execution of MPF exercises
* Working knowledge of the complex interrelationships between Middle Eastern states, religions, and ethnic groups
* Working knowledge of regional US Embassies, SDO/DATT, and USLO structures

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
* Master’s Degree and 20 years of relevant experience
* Retired or Reserve Navy Commander or Captain
* Tour as a department head or equivalent position with amphibious class vessels/fleet
* Service on both US CENTCOM and US NAVCENT staffs
* Graduate from USMC or equivalent planners’ course (SAW, SAMS, SAAS, MAWS, JAWS) or Top-Level School Complete (War College)
* Service on both USCENTCOM (Combatant Command) and NAVCENT (NAVFOR) level staffs
* In-depth understanding of USCENTCOM’s OPLANs and CONPLANs (to include compartmentalized plans, bi-lateral and multi-lateral planning efforts)
* Long established interpersonal relationships with regional military leaders and staff members developed through face-to-face engagements
* Long established interpersonal relationships with key members of the USCENTCOM and HQ, DoN N3 staffs
* Minimum 2 years’ experience on the HQ, DoN staff
* Knowledge of historical, current, and planned USMC force deployments to the CENTCOM AOR
* Ability to process information, write, and create briefing products for a general officer-level audience
* Ability to interact with USMC Colonels and Lieutenant Colonels at a peer level in order to advise and assist them with daily staff functions
