Shipping & Receiving Specialist
The Leidos Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (SRG) currently has an opening for a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, supporting the QRC Airborne ISR Systems Division in Bridgewater, VA
Leidos is the Lead Systems Integrator for manned aerial platforms providing imagery and multi-source data for both real-time and post mission analysis. The job of the Shipping & Receiving Specialist is to prepare items to be shipped to both domestic and international locations and completes the required forms and documents. This position reports directly to the Trade Compliance Manager.
-Transpose information from invoices, packing slips, DD1149’s, DA-2062’s or other shipping documentation to daily records and logs
-Check received shipments for damaged goods and verifies quantity and quality of order; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor accordingly
-Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items
-Create hand receipts, DD1149’s, DA-2062’s and or other documentation for shipping and or transferring Government Furnished Equipment
-Prepare items to be shipped to both domestic and international locations and completes the required forms and documents
-Receive and unload freight either manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
-Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies; submits Purchase Requests and orders supplies when needed
-Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
-Other duties assigned by the Division Trade Compliance Manager
-High School and 4+ years related experience.
-Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Secret Security Clearance
-Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
-Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with customers and peers
-This position is part of a fast paced environment and requires a demonstrated ability to engage quickly and multitask while maintaining attention to detail
-Background in Army Logistics, 92A or 92Y
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years of experience) and 2+ years related experience or an Associate’s degree w/4+ years of related experience
