Description:
The National Airspace System (NAS) Integration and Support Contract (NISC III) is looking for a IT application and database specialist in Washington, DC to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s Power Services Group.  

The successful candidate will work with customer and team stakeholders to develop and improve existing solutions for financial and project management.  

The employee will be responsible for the following tasks:

·         Designing, developing and implementing new modules or enhancements to existing applications

·         Performance improvements

·         O&M support for tools

·         Working with customers and stakeholders to identify new business needs

·         Documenting designs and system functions.

·         Peer reviews and testing

Qualifications:
Typical education and experience: 

  • Typically requires a BA degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. 


Basic qualifications 

  • Must have experience in database design and user interface / usability development. 
  • Experience in some or all of the following: Oracle, Java Script, JQuery, ColdFusion, and Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to describe design concepts and requirements to stakeholders, as well as the ability to develop documentation including system design documents, user manuals, and test plans. 
  • Database experience
  • Experience developing or maintaining systems with a user interface



Preferred qualifications/desired skills
  • Experience in with FAA systems including PRISM, CWP 4.0, Delphi / OBIEE
  • Familiarity with financial operations and / or project management and terms
