The NISC III program is seeking an EOSH professional to rovide technical and environmental services that support the FAA Central Service Area (CSA) Technical Support Center (TSC) Environmental Compliance Program.  

The employee will provide technical analysis of existing, new and proposed environmental regulations from federal, state and local authorities regarding CSA facilities and operations. 

Specific duties incude:

  • Development of FAA policy, guidance and directives on subjects related to FAA and environmental compliance.  
  • Evaluation of workplace activities and operations to assess environmental risks associated with facility operations and job tasks.  
  • Design appropriate solutions to address identified environmental risks.  
  • Assist with CSA District Environmental Evaluations.  
  • Perform Environmental Due Diligence Audits (EDDA) as per FAA Order 1050.19B and develop associated EDDA reports.  

Perform environmental sampling at FAA facilities related to:
  • PCB sampling of transformers
  • Radon measurements
  • Testing of drinking water 
  • Air pollution measurements of stationary sources.


Typical education and experience:

  • Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Environmental Clean-up support and oversight.

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of work time.

  • Ability to obtain state licensing for related areas, such as Mold & Asbestos along with others.
