The Leidos Airborne Integration & Ground Processing Systems operation of the Advanced Solutions Group currently has a career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in support of the Airborne Reconnaissance Low Enhanced (ARL-E) program located in Manassas, VA. ARL-E is a multi-year program supporting the U.S. Army with upgrading and enhancing the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to help in designing, upgrading and maintaining aircraft modifications on the U.S. Army’s Airborne Reconnaissance Low Enhanced mission DHC-8-300 fleet. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to help in designing, upgrading and maintaining aircraft modifications on the U.S. Army’s Airborne Reconnaissance Low Enhanced mission DHC-8-3 fleet.
The qualified engineer will assist with all aspects of airframe electrical design work related to aircraft modifications and mission equipment design, integration and maintenance. Ideal candidate will also have a background in aircraft electrical systems to optimize viable designs and the willingness to work in a shop environment when needed to consult with mission equipment integration staff.
- Support engineering tasks, which includes, but are not limited to the following:
- General electrical engineering design, drafting, and analysis
- Compile technical data
- Architecture development
- Hardware integration
- Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational requirements
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning equipment
- B.S in Electrical Engineering, with 0-2 years experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Knowledgeable on aircraft electrical systems
- Familiar with Military and/or FAA airworthiness substantiation requirements
- Active DoD security clearance TS/SCI
