Description:
Leidos’ Defense & Intelligence Group is recruiting for a Project Manager/Site Lead to help support all day‐to‐day IT support operations for US Army Central (USARCENT) G2 Forward and Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) CJ2, supporting 24x7 Intelligence operations at multiple locations, and oversee same for the Office of Military Cooperation – Kuwait (OMC-K).  This deal candidate will lead a dynamic team of IT professionals in support of US government, military, and coalition customers throughout Kuwait and surrounding countries.Serve as the primary interface between the Leidos team and multiple government customers.  
 
This position will be based at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Manage day‐to‐day IT operations, including service desk, desktop, server, storage, and network administration, VTC operations, hardware support etc., may include advising and/or assisting with facility design or re-design, floor plan layouts, security improvement projects, and power and cooling.
  • Supervise 20 or more personnel in multiple regional countries; roles include personnel actions, hiring, assigning, transferring, and/or terminating as necessary.  
  • Responsible for coordination of all life support for the team, including off-base housing, work visas, installation access, transportation, and other logistical support and interface with host‐nation sponsors and corporate entities.  
  • Provide written reports, update briefings, and other contract deliverables on all activities to senior gov, mil and company leadership.  Manage all organizational IT projects. Provide technical and professional mentorship to all personnel. 
  • Assist & mentor team members with technical troubleshooting and be able to execute system, storage, network, and/or desktop administrator duties as needed
  • Serve as primary IT advisor to the G2 Forward and CJ2 Systems officers, and if required lead IT projects in the organization; track and regularly report project status to both government and company/contract leadership
    • Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality
    • Develop the overall project plan and manage project operations
    • Manage the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, project budget, and project conflicts
    • Plan, execute, and close projects that meet or exceed customer objectives
  • Utilize SharePoint, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint daily to draft, staff, and publish verbal, visual, and written updates on all facets of the program, projects, and contract deliverables
  • Implement, document, maintain, and supervise ITIL processes in support of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures, with a focus on service desk operations
  • Coordinate with host‐nation sponsors, garrison organizations, and corporate entities to provide country access (Kuwaiti work visas), off-post life support (housing, vehicles), and base access for all personnel
  • Ensure team members know and execute their respective roles
  • Ensure all team members are aware of and follow appropriate host-nation laws, government regulations, and corporate policies.
 

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements at Time of Hire: 
  • ESITE Level 4 Education & Experience: HS Diploma/GED + 12 yrs. experience, or Associate’s Degree + 10 yrs. experience, or Bachelor’s Degree + 8 yrs. experience, or Master’s Degree + 6 yrs. experience
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as Earned Value Management and at least five (5) years direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment.
  • Required Technical Certification: 8140 IAT II IA Baseline Certification, such as Security+|ce or higher
  • PMP is required or the ability to obtain.
  • Requires active TOP SECRET clearance with immediate eligibility for SCI access at time of hire
  • Duty hours on-site are 12‐hours per day, 7 days a week, plus commute time and are subject to local labor law
  • On‐call 24x7, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have at least 36 months validity and 5 blank pages left on a U.S. passport.
  • Requires employee to obtain & maintain host nation work visa, including local/regional medical testing
  • Must be willing to live & work in the State of Kuwait or forward deploy to austere locations as directed, and follow all corporate and local site policies and host nation laws, customs, and courtesies.
  • Unaccompanied position includes off‐post housing and vehicle support provided by contract; however, operational requirements may dictate assignment and further deployment to austere locations as needed
